English Chapter 18 - One and Ones

  One/Ones sebagai kata ganti penunjuk yang berarti yang. One digunakan sebagai pengganti (subtitute) benda tunggal. Ones sebagai pengganti benda jamak, untuk menghindari pengulangan.

Contoh :

·           Did you buy a dictionary yesterday ?

·           No, I am going to buy one tomorrow.

·           Do you want to buy some shirts?

·           Yes, I want to buy some white ones

Keterangan :

One maupun Ones adalah pengganti dari kata-kata a dictionary dan shirts dan khusus countable noun.

Contoh lain :

·           This old dictionary is mine, but this new ine is Mary's.

·           John wants new books, but Mary wants the old ones.

Keterangan :

One = Sebagai pengganti tunggal.

Ones = Sebagai pengganti jamak.

Contoh :

1. Which book do you like ?

·           I like this one.

·           The big one.

2. Which books do you like ?

·           I like these big ones.

·           These ones are to be bought by Ali.
